People are always telling us that they’d love to know when the next Dublin Decoded Art Tour/ Medieval Walls Tour/ Thomas Reed’s Cutlers Tour/ Capel St, Markets, Monasteries and Courthouse Tour, etc, etc. Because they missed out on tickets or a date last time and they don’t want to miss it again next time!
It’s not realistic for us to keep a record of who wants which tour, of course. So the best and most reliable way to hear about Dublin Decoded events is, by far, is our free, monthly Newsletter.
How often? We say monthly, because it goes out once a month, on average. However if we aren’t running any tours and/or don’t have any news, then we don’t send anything out. (We don’t believe in wasting your time with empty filler) Conversely, about once or twice a year, if we have really exciting news that we’re pretty sure you’ll want to hear about sooner rather than later, then we don’t always wait a full month between newsletters. But on average it goes about once every 4 weeks, assuming we’ve tours or talks to tell you about.
Can we sign you? No. When people do hear about the Newsletter they then often say: “Please sign me up!” In fact, we can not sign people up, as that is, quite rightly, illegal. You must sign yourself up! However this is is free to do, once you press this link it takes around 30 seconds to fill out the 3 mandatory fields and hit subscribe. To handle our list of subscribers, we use the ultra-reputable firm Mail Chimp, so your data should be be 100% safe. Please note also that, in line with best international practice, once you fill out your details, Mail Chimp will send you a confirmation email, which you must confirm, in order to activate your subscription. Please keep an eye our for that email, and bear in mind it may not automatically go to the main folder in your email? It may possibly land in your Social, Promotions, or Updates email folder instead, or potentially even into Spam, although that last eventuality is unlikely. When you do find the confirmation email, hit confirm and you are good to go. It is also very easy to unsubscribe from the newsletter any time you change your mind. (There is an unsubscribe link, at the foot of every single newsletter)
Once you are successfully added to our subscriber list please note that you will not receive the last newsletter. But you will receive the next newsletter, whenever that’s sent out. You will also have joined a sort of club, of people who hear about Dublin Decoded tours, talks, site visits and other events, before most others do. Because when possible, and especially if availability is limited, we always like to give our subscribers something of a head start!
Welcome to the gang. Now you’re in the know, we’ll hopefully see you soon, whether online or on tour.
